After a sensational postseason, Jaz Shelley starting rising up draft boards. It is not hard to see why she is going to get a shot in the WNBA. Shelley is not only a clutch scorer, but a terrific passer and rebounder. She is a smart, smart player who can morph her role to fit team needs.

Not only that, but she showed great leadership and is a very likable personality.

From the Nebraska athletic department:

Shelley follows 2014 Big Ten Player of the Year and first-team All-American Jordan Hooper, who was the No. 13 overall pick as the first pick of the second round by the Tulsa Shock. Hooper went on to spend four seasons in the WNBA as part of her nine-year professional career. Shelley becomes the seventh Nebraska graduate and ninth former Husker overall to be chosen in the WNBA Draft. She was one of three Australians and one of seven Big Ten Conference players selected in the 36-player draft.

Shelley finished her college basketball career with 1660 points (1364 at Nebraska) and 305 made three-pointers. She also grabbed 582 rebounds and 215 steals. She had 657 assists, many of which were her patented no-look pass to the basket. As a 5’9” guard, she also blocked 68 shots.
